Philips has long been a leader in design and innovation. The new office space was being designed to encourage a more open and creative environment for its employees, requiring a cohesive visual element that would tie the space together.

The Issue

The office lacked a focal point that blended artistic expression with the company’s values. The existing design needed a refresh, with a creative art installation that aligned with Philips' brand image and mission.

My Task

Curate and create an art curation wall that would embody the spirit of Philips' technological innovation, creativity, and human-centric approach. The installation needed to be adaptable, timeless, and capable of becoming a lasting part of the company's workspace culture.

Gathering Inspiration

The design inspiration for the art curation wall was drawn from Philips' rich history of innovation in technology, design, and human-centered solutions. I tried to gather all main Philips products with an innovative design.

Feedback Collection:

Regular consultations with the Philips design team and office managers helped shape the direction of the installation, ensuring the curation met both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Defining the Design Direction

The installation needed to combine diverse styles and mediums, ranging from abstract to figurative art, to symbolize the innovation that Philips represents. The idea was to create a visually stimulating wall that also encouraged employee interaction and reflection.

User-Centric Approach

I ensured that the final design would be appreciated by everyone in the office, with usability tests conducted to evaluate how employees responded to the display in their daily environment.
